On Wednesday night the U9s played Castle Rovers away and came away with a good 1 all draw, having fallen behind Micheal Quaid got the goal. DJ Keenaghan and Charlie Cronin in defence with Adam Cusack in midfield and Shane Gunning up front all had good games for the cross.

The U8 team had their first game of the season at home to Knockainey on Wednesday night and lost 8-6 in a goal feast of a game. Cillian Murphy scored a hat trick in his first ever game with Jack Lawlor pitching in with 2 and Tom Casey rounding off a very enjoyable evening. Our U10 white teams played on the same night and ended up 7-0 winners at home to Knockainey and our U10 black team took on Kilmallock at the cross on Saturday and won 3-0. Goal scorers were Barry Callinan 2, Ben Compton 2, Callum Murphy 2, Oisin Rathigan, Donncha O Rahilly, Eoin Murrnane, Tadgh Boddy.

U9 Boys v Castle Utd 

A round up of our boys results at the weekend. Our U9 boys (above) had there first outing of the year when we played Castle Utd at the cross. We put out 2 teams and played 2 games each, winning all 4 games. We had some outstanding performances and some wonderful football played by both sides. Holycross scores were Mark Purtill hat-trick, Micheal Quaid 2, Tadgh Boddy 2, Barry Callinan 2, Adam Cusack 2, Alex Moriarty and Conor Clancy. We had 20 boys take part with all getting good game... time.

Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th Sept 2014

On Wednesday night our U15s travelled to Herbertstown and were beaten 8 nil. Best on the night for Holycross were Cain Carrol and Kevin Bonar. On Saturday morning the U16 boys (above) took on Croom at home and came away comfortable winners on a scoreline of 12-1. Later in the morning the U12 boys (our sole representatives in National Cup competitions this year) travelled to Charleville in the Danone Cup. Despite losing 3-1 they gave a great performance with the goal coming from Morgan O' Sullivan. The U14 Boys recorded a 2-0 win at home to keep up their unbeaten start to the season.

Wednesday 17th to Sunday 21th Sept 2014

On Wednesday evening Beano took his new charges the U12 "B"s to Castle Rovers for their first match of the season. They turned in a super performance to impress the new manager coming away with a 4-2 win. The goals scored by Ciaran Fox, Conor Hynes, Patrick Finn and Eoin O' Loughlin.

First up on Saturday were the U11 "B" team who made the short trip to Knockainey at lunch time and came away with a very comprehensive 4-0 win. Ben Compton getting all 4 goals. . Ben has scored 6 in 2 games now making it 2 wins and 2 clean sheets for this team. Sean Casey and Callum Murphy pulling all the strings in midfield.

Our U11 "A"s traveled to Galbally in the afternoon and were beaten 3-1 ... Noah Patterson scoring with a well taken strike from the edge of the box. Evan Ryan and Gavin Bracken put in good displays.
